Splice together the DNA of Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction, Captain Jack Sparrow, Michael Jackson when he was eight, Data from the Goonies and a labrador puppy. Shake well in a soft leather Gucci cowboy boot, pour contents into a petri dish and place in the airing cupboard under the Anne Summers knickers for two weeks. Add a pinch of the cookie monster, two fingers of Dolly Parton and cover generously with the sex musk of Burt Reynolds and you’ll be close to recreating something that resembles Sammy Senior. - "FAT HARRY"
Hi I'm Sammy and here is a little bit about me.
I was lucky enough to be born and raised on a farm in the middle of nowhere in beautiful New Zealand. I have always been around music, I spent my childhood going to folk music festivals with my Dad and learned to play the guitar and piano at a young age. I played in a few bands, metal, rock and then I picked up bass guitar and played in a ska-punk band called Six Pack Happy. We had a lot of fun.! At age 19 I took advantage of my British passport and took off to Europe for most of my 20's where I spent the better part of the decade working on boats and having the odd surf adventure in between. Around 2011 I got my first DJ setup and Ableton and started to mix and make music. In 2012 I had an awakening of sorts happen to me, and I realized I didn't want to be at sea anymore, I wanted to be fully immersed in the music world. I went to live with some friends in the hills behind Nice in France where I could dedicate my time to music. I managed to pick up a few DJ residences, moved to the Alps and DJ'd for a few winters, then conceded to return to the boats for one more season. In 2014 I moved to Bristol in England and spent the year working for a music label called Ghetto Funk. I also managed to play at about 7 or 8 festivals, and although I was pretty much broke the whole time It was one of the best years of my life, I felt like I was on my path. In 2012 I had invested my savings into some land on the Baja peninsular of Mexico and in 2014 I made plans to build a small house and my music studio. Since then I have been working hard in and out of the studio, chasing my dream of playing and sharing my funky music.
Not that it is important, but if you are interested in what I use to produce/DJ here is a short list
